dc.description.abstract | Background: Pharmacist Professional Work Practices (PKPA) in Hospitals is one
of the professional work practices in the pharmacist professional education
program. This PKPA to ensure that prospective pharmacists are able to understand
the problems of pharmaceutical work in hospitals in a professional manner in
accordance with applicable laws and professional rules. PKPA activities carried
out at Prof. Hospital. Dr. H. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North
Sumatera includes managing pharmaceutical supplies, medical devices and
consumable medical materials (BMHP), and providing hospital clinical pharmacy
services. The clinical pharmacy services provided consist of outpatient, inpatient,
operating room depot (OK), emergency room depot, chemotherapy depot, and
warehouse. Pharmaceutical supplies and hospital clinical pharmacy services
carried out by pharmacy installations are in accordance with statutory regulations
and have been implemented, except for clinical pharmacy services regarding
Blood Drug Level Monitoring (PKOD).
Purpose: This PKPA is carried out with the aim of preparing and equipping
prospective pharmacists to understand the duties, responsibilities, skills and
expertise needed by a pharmacist in a hospital and providing opportunities for
prospective pharmacists to see firsthand the management of hospital pharmacy
installations and the implementation of pharmaceutical services in hospitals.
Method: PKPA in Hospitals was carried out on September 9 - November 13 2024
at Prof. Hospital. Dr. H. Chairuuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North
Sumatra which is located on Jl. Dr. Mansyur No. 66, Merdeka, District. Medan
Baru, Medan City, North Sumatra, 20154. PKPA is carried out every Monday-
Friday at 09.00-15.00 WIB.
Results: Implementation of PKPA at Prof. Hospital. Dr. H. Chairuuddin
Panusunan Lubis University of North Sumatra provides knowledge regarding the
duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in accordance with PMK RI No. 72 of
2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Hospitals and gain insight,
knowledge, skills and practical experience to carry out pharmaceutical work in
Hospitals.
Conclusion: There are structures and procedures that work well at Prof. Hospital.
Dr. H. Chairuuddin Panusunan Lubis University of North Sumatra, prospective
pharmacists can gain good pharmaceutical knowledge at PKPA in the Hospital. | en_US |
