dc.description.abstract | Indonesian people are certainly familiar with milk as one of the side dish groups in
fulfilling balanced nutritional needs. Peanut is the second most important legume
crop after soybean in Indonesia. Peanuts are rich in protein, essential amino acids,
unsaturated fats, fiber, and minerals. Each 100% dried peanut contains 525 kcal of
energy, 27.9% protein, 42.7% fat, 17.4% carbohydrate and 2.4% fiber, contains
Omega 3 which is polyunsaturated fat and Omega 9 which is monounsaturated fat.
The need for milk for public health and balanced nutrition guidelines in accordance
with the Decree of the Minister of Health Number 41 of 2014. In addition to the
fulfillment of balanced nutrition, a healthy and clean lifestyle is also campaigned
to provide awareness for early childhood to the elderly. To meet the community's
need for milk powder, it is necessary to produce milk powder by utilizing abundant
raw materials such as peanuts to the fullest. The pre-designed plant for making milk
powder from peanuts by drying process is planned to produce with a capacity of
9,000 tons/year and operate for 330 days a year. The location of the planned plant
is in Cilacap City, Central Java Province with an area of 24,041 m2. The required
workforce is 104 people with the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) under
the leadership of a manager. The establishment of the factory requires an
investment capital of Rp 380,058,507,745 with production costs (per year) Rp
773,004,116,434 and sales proceeds (per year) are Rp 910,795,121,280 and
generate a net profit of Rp 91,686,018,222. Based on economic analysis, this plant
has a Profit Margin (PM) of 14.372%, BEP of 36.896%, ROI of 24.12%, POT for
4.145 years, RON of 40.21, and IRR of 28.92%. Based on the results of the
economic analysis, the plant is feasible to establish. | en_US |
