| dc.description.abstract | Background: Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (PBF) are companies in the form of legal entities that have permits for the procurement, storage, distribution of drugs and/or drug ingredients in large quantities in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
Objective: To improve the understanding and knowledge of prospective pharmacists about the role, function, and responsibilities of pharmacists in pharmaceutical services at PBF
and to understand Good Drug Distribution Practices (CDOB).
Method: This report was conducted with a qualitative approach including collecting information related to the role, function and responsibilities of pharmacists in pharmaceutical services at PBF.
Results: Prospective pharmacists have gained an understanding of the role, function, position, and responsibilities of pharmacists, prospective pharmacists have understood the aspects of CDOB that have been implemented at PT. Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution, Medan branch, prospective pharmacists get a general overview of PT. Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution, Medan branch activities include procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, return, recall, return of drugs to manufacturers and destruction of drugs.
Conclusion: PT. Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution Medan branch has implemented aspects in accordance with CDOB provisions including quality management, organization, buildings and operational equipment, self-inspection, handling of drug complaints, transportation, distribution facilities based on contracts, distribution facilities and documentation, special provisions for cold chain products, special provisions for narcotics, psychotropics, and precursors. | en_US |
