Analisis Spasial Deforestasi untuk Perencanaan Rehabilitasi Hutan dan Lahan di KPH XII Tarutung Unit XX, Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara, Provinsi Sumatra Utara
Spatial Analysis of Deforestation for Rehabilitation Planning in KPH XII Tarutung Unit XX, North Tapanuli Regency
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the rate of deforestation in KPH XII
Tarutung Unit XX and formulate effective rehabilitation planning strategies.
The methods used include mapping land cover changes using satellite imagery
from the years 2013 and 2023. Deforestation data were analyzed over a tenyear
period to identify patterns and key factors contributing to forest
degradation. The results indicate that deforestation in KPH XII Tarutung Unit
XX is primarily caused by activities such as agricultural expansion, population
increase, and others. The area of forest lost during this period reached 11% of
the total KPH XII Tarutung Unit XX area. Based on this study, several
rehabilitation measures are recommended. One consideration for
rehabilitation is the level of landslide susceptibility. The method used to
analyze landslide susceptibility involves summing or scoring four parameters:
land use, slope, rainfall, and soil type. The results of the landslide
susceptibility analysis show that 67.78% of the area is classified as not
susceptible, 29.45% as susceptible, and 2.77% as highly susceptible, with the
total area being 67,781 hectares. The method used for prioritizing
rehabilitation involves summing or scoring five parameters: landslide
susceptibility, land use, distance from roads, distance from settlements, and
distance from rivers. The area prioritized for rehabilitation reaches 8,458.36
hectares. Based on the above analysis, rehabilitation planning should include
replanting native species, strengthening forest protection policies, and
increasing community participation in rehabilitation activities.
