Abstract

Pharmacist Professional Internship at Prof. dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital, Medan was held from September 9, 2024 to November 13, 2024. This internship was held in an effort to provide supplies, skills and expertise to prospective pharmacists by directly observing the management of the Hospital Pharmacy Installation and the role and duties of pharmacists in implementing pharmaceutical services in hospitals. This aims to ensure that prospective pharmacists are able to understand the problems of the pharmacy installation and are able to practice pharmacy professionally in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and professional rules. The internship activities of Prof. dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital include the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and Disposable Medical Materials, and providing hospital clinical pharmacy services. The clinical pharmacy services provided consist of outpatient care, inpatient care, operating room, Emergency Installation, chemotherapy. Pharmaceutical supplies and hospital clinical pharmacy services carried out by the pharmacy installation are in accordance with laws and regulations and have been implemented, except for clinical pharmacy services for Monitoring of Drug Levels in Blood.
