Abstract

This Professional Work Practice is carried out as one of the requirements in participating in the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPPA) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra to achieve a Pharmacist degree. This Pharmacist Professional Work Practice is carried out in an effort to provide supplies, skills, and expertise for prospective Pharmacists by directly observing the management and roles and duties of Pharmacists in Industry. This aims to ensure that prospective Pharmacists are able to understand Industrial problems and are able to practice professionally in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Pharmacists play a very important role in the pharmaceutical industry as drivers and directors in the implementation of CPOB. The role of Pharmacists in Industry is responsible for production, quality control and quality assurance. For production, pharmacists are able to ensure that all stages of production are carried out in accordance with the established process. After the product has been produced, quality control carries out a series of tests in accordance with the requirements of the reference, then quality assurance can guarantee that the product produced is safe and efficacious for patients.
