Analisis Sektor dan Komoditi Basis Pertanian Kabupaten Langkat Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth of agricultural sector to its economic structure in Langkat Regency, North Sumatera Province, to determine which Agricultural sub-sectors and agricultural commodity that are superior in Langkat Regency in the 2012-2021 period. This study uses secondary data, namely Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Langkat Regency and North Sumatra Province at Constant Prices (ADHK) for the 2012-2021 period. The analytical tools used in this research are: 1) Shift Share Analysis 2) Location Quotient Analysis (GRDP) 3) Location Quotient Analysis (Production). Shift Share analysis result on agricultural sector in Langkat Regency showed a shift in economic structure of 3990,59 billion rupiah or positive, which shows that the growth of the Langkat Regency agricultural sector follows the growth trend of the provincial agricultural sector. The subsectors that are the basis subsectors in the economy of Langkat Regency are the food crops subsector, livestock subsector, plantation subsector and fisheries subsector. Food crop commodities which are basis commodities and can be favored for development in Langkat Regency's economy are rice, corn, peanuts, soybeans, green beans. Livestock commodities are cows, ducks, chickens, goats. Plantation commodities are avocado, mango and durian. Plantation commodities are rubber and pepper. Horticultural commodities are chili, eggplant, cucumber, spinach
