Nilai-nilai Moral dalam Novel Kamu Duniaku Karya Rosa Amanda Salim: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

This study aims to describe the moral values in the novel Kamu Duniaku by Rosa Amanda Salim through a sociological literary analysis. The research employs the moral value theory proposed by Andri Wicaksono. A qualitative descriptive method was used, with data presented in the form of excerpts, narratives, and dialogues between characters that contain moral values. Data collection was carried out using reading and note-taking techniques. Andri Wicaksono, in his book on values, defines moral values as ethical rules encompassing all norms regarding good deeds, behavior, and attitudes. Moral values in literary works can positively influence the character development of readers. The results of the study indicate that the moral values found in Kamu Duniaku by Rosa Amanda Salim include: (1) Human relationship with God, which consists of a) surrender and obedience to God, and b) prayer; (2) Human relationship with oneself, which consists of a) self-existence, b) self-esteem, c) self-confidence, d) fear, e) longing, f) resentment, and g) loneliness; (3) Human relationship with others, which includes a) helping others, b) true love, c) selfless assistance to the weak, d) mutual respect, and e) mutual understanding; and (4) Human relationship with nature, which includes a) the utilization of natural resources.
