Peranan Pemuda Muhammadiyah Dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia Pemuda Dikota Medan

Abstract

Organizations of youth play an important role in improving the quality of human resources of the youth both as agent of change, agent of development and agent of modernization. Youth which is the foundation of all these changes is also one of the factors driving the growth of development. Muhammadiyah of youth which is one of the members of Cipayung group also influences on any program of development conducted by the government. The present study is a combination of quantitative and qualitative aimed at analyzing the influence Muhammadiyah of youth as agent of change, agent of development and agent of modernization in improving the quality of youth human resources in North Sumatera. The population of the study included all the members Muhammadiyah of youth in medan city ranging 16-40 years olf as of 618 persons while the sample included those members five bransches of Medan sunggal,tanjung sari-Sunggal, medan tuntungan, medan barat.The data were collected by using questionnaires and the collected data were then analyzed quantitatively using a multiple linear regression analysis and qualitatively with descriptive analysis. The results of the study shown that the role of the Muhammadiyah Youth as an agent of change, agent of development and agent of modernization has a significant effect on the quality of youth human resources in North Sumatra. The magnitude medan city Muhammadiyah Youth role in improving the quality of Youth human resources is 52.7%. Constraints faced by the Muhammadiyah Youth of medan city in improving the quality of the medan Youth human resources is mainly the breadth of the scope of the development of the quality of human resources so that it requires a planned and sustainable work program. Another obstacle is still limited man power of medan city Muhammadiyah Youth personnel, especially in improving the quality of Youth human resources. It is suggested to the Muhammadiyah Youth of medan city to increase the activity of youth assistance so that the quality of the medan city Youth human resources can be maximized and also, it is suggested to the members of the medan city Youth Muhammadiyah, to increase the activity of youth empowerment as part of the community component so that the quality of Youth human resources can be maximized. The conclusion of the study is the Muhammadiyah Youths have made important contributions to as youth organizations in improving the quality of human resources in medan.
