Identifikasi Makna Kias dalam Lirik Lagu حب و حياة /Ḥubbu Wa Ḥayāh/ (Kajian Semantik)

Abstract

Song lyrics are literary works that have a structure and meaning similar to poetry. This study analyzed the figurative meaning in the song lyric حب و حياة ḥubbu wa ḥayāh/ based on semantic studies . The problem in this research is what types of figures of speech are used, what are the tendencies of the types used, and what are the meanings of figures laid out in the lyrics of the song حب و حياة /ḥubbu wa ḥayāh/. This study aims to identify the kinds of figures of speech, the dominant kind figures of speech, and the meaning of figures of speech contained in the song lyric حب و حياة /ḥubbu wa ḥayāh/. The theory used in this study is the figurative meaning theory in semantic study submitted by Nur. A qualitative research with a note-taking method was used in this study. The results showed that the song lyric حب و حياة /ḥubbu wa ḥayāh/ conceived sixteen data with figurative meaning, consisting of: one occurrences parable or simile, six occurrences metaphors, four occurrences personifications, one occurrences metonymic, two occurrences synecdoches, one occurrences euphemism, and one occurrences hyperbole. The results of this research is to show that the lyrics of the song حب و حياة /ḥubbu wa ḥayāh/ use all types of figures of speech, that is simile, metaphor, personification, metonymy, synecdoche, euphemism, and hyperbole. Then the type that dominant to be used is metaphor. Then the lyrics of the حب و حياة /ḥubbu wa ḥayāh/ contain figurative meaning which is conveyed through a type of figures of speech. The conclusion figurative meaning describes something by comparing or juxtaposing one object with another and creating a deeper and more complex dimension of meaning.
