Edamame have a good protein and anti-cholesterol content for consumption. Several types of industrial waste can be used as planting media for edamame soybeans. Decanter solid, empty oil palm bunches (EOPB) and filter cake are wastes in large quantities and can be used for planting media. This study aims to identify the growth and production responses of edamame soybeans in various types of planting media compositions. This study was conducted on community field on Jl. Bunga Mawar XVII, Medan, North Sumatra with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level in July to September 2024. This study used a Randomized Block Design with 1 factor, namely top soil, top soil : decanter solid (1:1); top soil : EOPB (1:1); top soil : filter cake (1:1); top soil : EOPB :decanter solid (1:1:1); top soil : EOPB : filter cake (1:1:1); top soil : decanter solid : filter cake (1:1:1). The results showed that the composition of planting media top soil : EOPB : filter cake (1:1:1) and top soil : decanter solid : filter cake (1:1:1) had an effect because it significantly increased the observation parameters of plant height, number of leaves, wet weight of the shoot, dry weight of roots, dry weight of the shoot, flowering age, number of productive branches, harvest time, stem diameter, number of pods per plant and pod weight per planten_US
