dc.description.abstractBackground: Health includes physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects, which enable a socially and economically productive life. Pharmacies have an important role in ensuring that safe, effective, and quality pharmaceutical preparations are available to the community. As part of the pharmacist professional education program, pharmacist students need to be equipped with skills in pharmacy management through the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA). Objective: The objective of this PKPA is so that prospective pharmacists can understand the role of pharmacists and manage pharmacies professionally, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health (Permenkes) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 73 of 2016. Method: PKPA at Apotek ID located at Jalan Marelan Raya No.109 Link I Tanah 600, Medan Marelan, was carried out from May 6 to June 6, 2024 with two shifts, 08.00-16.00 WIB and 14.00-21.00 WIB. using direct observation methods and participatory practice. Results: PKPA activities at Apotek ID include observation and learning about pharmaceutical inventory management and clinical pharmacy services. Participants make notes related to daily prescription services and learn about drug preparation in pharmacies based on the FEFO (First Expired First Out) and FIFO (First In First Out) systems. In addition, they learn about various types of drugs and their indications, record pharmaceutical supplies and drug expiration dates, and understand the procedures for ordering and receiving goods from PBF. Participants are also given the opportunity to serve drug prescriptions and provide self-medication services, along with providing drug information to patients. Conclusion: Pharmaceutical services carried out at Apotek ID, namely pharmaceutical supply management activities and clinical pharmacy services, are generally in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 73 of 2016.en_US
