Subsidized Fertilizer is fertilizer whose procurement and distribution
receive subsidies from the government for farmers needs which is carried out on
the basis of government programs in the agricultural sector. This research aims to
analyze the mechanism for distributing subsidized fertilizer and analyze the
impact of fertilizer shortages on production levels and income of rice farmers.
This research uses a descriptive analysis method with quantitative descriptive
analysis techniques, and the data collection method is carried out directly with
farmers through questionnaires. In this study, there were 30 farmers who were
used as respondents or objects in the research by comparing the amount of
production, production costs when fertilizer was scarce, and production costs after
fertilizer was scarce. The results of this research show that there is a significant
differences due to the scarcity of subsidized fertilizer on increasing the amount of
production and income of farmers, namely: there is a decrease in production of
24.58% and a decrease in income of 41,61% when there is a fertilizer shortage.
