Abstract

This Professional Work Practice is carried out as one of the requirements in participating in the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra to achieve a Pharmacist degree. This Pharmacist Professional Work Practice is carried out to provide supplies, skills, and expertise for prospective Pharmacists by directly observing the management and roles and duties of Pharmacists in Industry. This aims to ensure that prospective Pharmacists are able to understand Industrial problems and are able to practice professionally in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Pharmacists play an important role in the Pharmaceutical Industry in ensuring the implementation of CPOB, especially those closely related to the smooth running of the production process, quality control to achieve the desired product quality. Pharmacists play a very important role in the pharmaceutical industry, namely as head of production, head of quality control, and head of quality assurance. Where the function of the pharmacist is as a professional who is involved in determining the quality of the products produced through their expertise in the pharmaceutical world. then quality assurance can guarantee that the products produced are safe and efficacious for patients.
