Abstract

Professional Work Pracrice (PKP) at the Health Center in one of the professional work practices in the pharmacist professional education program. PKP at the Health Center has been completed on April 1, 2024 to May 4, 2024 at the Teladan Health Center. This PKP was implemented in an effort to provide supplies, skills and expertise to prospective pharmacists by directly observing drug management and the provision of services, especially pharmaceutical services. This aims to ensure that prospective pharmacists are able to understand the problems of pharmaceutical work at the Health Center professionally in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and professional rules. PKP activities at the Teladan Health Center that are carried out include understanding the functions and duties of the Health Center in providing health services to the community, knowing the role of Pharmacists in managing pharmaceutical supplies and Disposable Medical Materials (BMHP) starting from planning needs, requests, receipts, storage,distribution, control, recording, reporting and archiving as well as monitoring and evaluating management. Learning how to perform patient oriented clinical pharmacy services, conducting , providing drug infomation and education to patients/ in addition to pharmaceutical activities, other activities during the Pharmacist Professional Work practice at the Teladan Health Center UPT, Medan City Health Office, namely, counseling activities for Hajj pilgrim=s regarding high cholesterol alertness by distributing bronchures, explaining them to the community, and also conducting discussions on things that are not yet understood by the community. Counseling to the community plays an important role, the goal is to be able to directly and can be directly implemented by the community so that the xpected therapy can be achieved.
