dc.description.abstractObjective: This Pharmacist Professional Internship (PKPA) is carried out with an effort to provide a deeper understanding of the role of pharmacists in Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (PBF), as well as the important role of pharmacists in ensuring proper drug distribution, learning the principles of Good Drug Distribution Practices (CDOB), and how these principles are applied in PBF, especially at PT. Millennium Pharmacon International Medan Branch, to ensure the quality and safety of drug distribution. Methods: Pharmacist Professional Internship (PKPA) for Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (PBF) at PT. Millennium Pharmacon International Tbk (MPI) Medan Branch was implemented from March 4, 2024 to March 30, 2024. PKPA activities at PBF include understanding PBF's duties as a pharmaceutical distributor, the role of pharmacists in health services, and management of pharmaceutical supplies, medical devices, and disposable medical materials from planning to destruction. In addition, activities also include checking incoming and outgoing goods, reviewing stock cards, reporting drugs, and handling Cold Chain Products (CCP) and temperature mapping. Results: Students learn the role of PBF as a pharmaceutical distributor, including its functions and duties in providing pharmaceutical products and medical devices, understand the role of pharmacists in supporting health services at PBF, including the management of drugs and medical devices, learn how to manage pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and disposable medical materials, starting from: Selection, Planning, Procurement, Receipt, Storage, Distribution, Withdrawal, Destruction, learn how to control and administer pharmaceutical management at PBF. Students check incoming and outgoing goods to ensure proper management, learn how to review stock cards to monitor the availability of pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Students learn how to report drugs, including: Over-the-counter drugs, Limited over-the-counter drugs, Prescription drugs, Psychotropic drugs, Precursors, Certain drugs and learn how to handle CCP products, including temperature control and management of products that require certain temperatures. Conclusion: PT. Millenium Pharmacon International Tbk Medan Branch has implemented good CDOB aspects in every aspect and series of its distribution processes.en_US
