This research aims to describe the idea of consumerism in the novel Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk and its impact on society in the novel. Consumerism, as one of the central themes in this novel, is studied through a qualitative approach using text analysis methods. This research reveals how consumerist culture influences individual identity, social relationships, and the dynamics of modern society depicted in the novel. The research shows that consumerism in Fight Club not only reflects materialistic consumption patterns but also depicts the existential dissatisfaction experienced by the main character. Additionally, the novel offers a sharp critique of modern capitalist culture, underscoring the destructive impact of consumerism on human values. It is hoped that this research would provide insight into how literary works can be used to reflect and undermine social phenomena such as consumerism.en_US
