Analysis of Work Motivation Factors of Experts in Construction Consulting Companies
Abstract
Experts are one of the important aspects that need to be considered for the successful implementation of construction planning, construction consultants are often faced with constraints on the low productivity of human resources. One of the problems of low productivity of human resources is the lack of work motivation of experts. This study aims to determine what factors affect the work motivation of construction consultant experts. The subjects in this study were construction consultant experts in Medan City, this research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 10 experts from 4 construction consulting companies in Medan City. Sampling using snowball sampling method. This study shows that the influence factor of motivation from 21 influence factors, there are 5 (five) highest values for the factors that most influence the work motivation of construction consultant experts in Medan City, namely: appropriate salary with a weight interpretation value of 100%, a comfortable and healthy work environment with a weight interpretation value of 97.5%, work in accordance with the interests mastered with a weight interpretation value of 97.5%, a solid and compact team with a weight interpretation value of 95%, the existence of bonuses and benefits provided with a weight interpretation value of 95%. And the 3 (three) lowest values for the factors that have the most influence on the work motivation of consulting experts, namely: regular working hours with a weighted interpretation value of 75%, stable leave time and accommodation with a weighted interpretation value of 72.5%, and taking engineer certification with a weighted interpretation value of 70%.
