The result of the research, using Spearman rank test, suggests that p-value=0.000 (<0.050) and r=0.422 which indicate that there is the correlation between coping mechanism and the action of preventing diabetic foot ulcer in DM Type 2 patients at Tanah Tinggi Puskesmas, Binjai Timur Sub- district. This result shows that the mechanism of adaptive coping covers 77 respondents (90.6%), and moderate preventing diabetic foot ulcer covers 61 respondents (71.8%).
