Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Objek Wisata Bunga Rafflesia Tidak Berdampak Bagi Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Jorong Batang Palupuh Sumatera Barat

Abstract

The rafflesia flower as the only tourist attraction in Batang Palupuh has no impact on the welfare of the local community. Whereas the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object if managed properly will be a great source of economy for the community and the region. Therefore, this study aims to determine and analyze the factors that cause the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object to have no impact on the welfare of the people of Batang Palupuh, West Sumatra. And using qualitative research methods with a case study approach so that researchers can explore and understand more deeply related to the problems that occur. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observations, literature studies, and documentation. The data obtained in the field is then analyzed to draw conclusions from the research results. The conclusion obtained from the results of the study is that the factors causing the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object to have no impact on the welfare of the Batang Palupuh community do not only come from the government, but also the community itself, which factors are the absence of local government efforts such as the Wali Nagari and Wali Jorong in overcoming these problems, regulations related to the management of the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object which are not clear. Based on the results of the interview, it is known that the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object does not belong to Nagari, but belongs to BKSDA, tourism objects are currently not included in development priorities, there is no good communication between the community and the government, such as the government not socializing related policies that will be carried out next in an effort to overcome the problems of the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object, lack of community involvement to actively participate in decision making, the attitude of the community does not care about the existence of the Rafflesia Flower Tourism Object, there is no good cooperation between communities, such as information related to rafflesia flowers which is only known by tour guides and Rafflesia Luwak Coffee UMKM actors, there is rejection from the community regarding the development of tourist objects, and the Batang Palupuh community has limitations in English.
