Analisis Kata Serapan Bahasa Arab dari Bahasa Inggris dalam Istilah Sains (Biologi, Fisika, Kimia) : Kajian Fonologi

Abstract

This research discusses Arabic loan words from English in scientific terms (biology, physics, chemistry). This study aims to find out what science terms in the fields of biology, physics, and chemistry in English are absorbed into Arabic. This research is library research. The theory sound changes by Crowley's. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. The results of this research show t 45 data with 8 types of sound changes, namely: Sound Addition has 2 data (biology 1, physics 1), Sound Addition and Lenition has 8 data (biology 1, physics 5 and chemistry 2), Sound Addition and Fortition has 8 data (biology 5, physics 1 and chemistry 2), Sound Addition and Vowel Breaking has 6 data (biology 2, physics 2 and chemistry 2), Sound Addition, Lenition and Fortition there are 6 data (biology 2 and physics 4), Sound Addition, Fortition and Vowel Breaking have 7 data (biology 1, physics 1 and chemistry 5), Sound Addition, Lenition and Vowel Breaking have 6 data (biology 3, physics 1 and chemistry 2), Lenition, Fortition, Sound addition and Vowel Breaking have 2 data (biology 1 and chemistry 1).
