Trade relations between Indonesia and China have developed rapidly
over the past few decades. This research aims to investigate how the bilateral
trade relationship between these two countries affects economic growth in
Indonesia. The research method used is a quantitative approach, utilizing
secondary data analysis from the period 1992 to 2022.
Multiple linear regression analysis will be employed to assess the impact
of trade relations on economic growth. This study examines the extent to which
the trade relationship between Indonesia and China affects Indonesia's economic
growth, using net exports and exchange rates as dependent variables from 1992 to
2022.
The results of the research, using multiple linear regression analysis,
indicate that: (1) Net exports have a negative and significant impact on
Indonesia's economic growth with a significance level of 0.0108; (2) The
exchange rate of the Indonesian Rupiah against the US dollar has a negative and
significant impact on economic growth in Indonesia with a significance level of
0.000.
