Abstract

Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at the Pharmaceutical Industry of PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk Citeureup Plant The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at the Pharmaceutical Industry of PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk Citeureup Plant was conducted from September 9 to November 13, 2024, during working hours from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The purpose of this internship was to observe and understand firsthand the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as to gain insights into the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk Citeureup Plant. This program aimed to equip future pharmacists with knowledge, skills, practical experience, and a deeper understanding of pharmaceutical work in the industry through the application of GMP principles. Apothecary play a crucial role in the pharmaceutical industry as key drivers and overseers of GMP compliance. Their responsibilities include production, quality control, and quality assurance: Production: Ensuring that all production stages are carried out according to established procedures. Quality Control (QC): Conducting a series of tests to verify that the products meet reference standards. Quality Assurance (QA): Guaranteeing that the manufactured products are safe and effective for patients. During the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice, participants were assigned to the Quality Control (QC) department, specifically in the Compliance division, and gained knowledge about other departments within PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Citeureup Plant.
