dc.description.abstractWind turbines are increasingly recognized as one of the effective solutions for generating clean and sustainable energy. In this study, an adaptive braking system for five-bladed wind turbines was developed, utilizing the MG996 servo motor and Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring technology. This system is designed to maintain the efficiency and safety of turbine operation, especially when the rotor rotation speed exceeds the safe limit of 1000 RPM, which could potentially damage components. The adaptive braking mechanism can automatically control the rotor speed with the servo's responsiveness to rpm changes and its robustness in braking so as to maintain the rotor rotation speed, such as from 1200 rpm to 950 RPM within 1 second. In addition, IoT-based monitoring technology can remotely monitor the real-time condition of the turbine, including parameters such as rotor speed, braking status, and servo motor activity. The test results show that the system has fast braking capability. The implementation of this system is expected to improve reliability, extend the operational life of wind turbines, and encourage the development of renewable energy technology.en_US
