Dryobalanops aromatica is a type of tree that belongs to the Dipterocarpaceae tribe with conservation status according to the IUCN Red List is Vurnirable (VU) The population of lime trees in Indonesia can be found in the areas of Singkil, Sungai Natal, Sibolga and Padang Sidempuan to Aerbangis. In the western region, it is only found on Mursala Island. The purpose of this study is to determine the ecology of Kapur Tree (Dryobalanops aromatica) which includes population structure, species distribution, and plant community composition as well as density and biomass. In the sample plot of 0.64 ha, there are 76 individuals of Dryobalanops aromatica that live together with several other types of plants, namely 130 species and 53 tribes. The population structure of lime trees is in the shape of a pot, it can grow at an altitude of 17-221 meters above sea level with a slope of 6°-25° and a grouped distribution pattern. A very high diversity index of 4,191. An evenness index of 0.83 indicates maximum uniformity. The structure of the stand is diverse, the density of timber in the medium category and has a total biomass of 452.39 tons/ha.
