Abstract
Objective : Pharmacist Professional Internship in Hospitals for students of the Pharmacy Education Study Program are carried out to provide an overview, skills and expertise to prospective pharmacists directly in the field regarding management, increasing the understanding of prospective pharmacists about the role, function, position, and responsibilities of pharmacists in hospitals, equipping prospective pharmacists to have insight, knowledge, skills and practical experience to carry out pharmaceutical work in hospitals. As well as training prospective pharmacists in solving problems that may exist in hospitals, and being able to work professionally in accordance with Laws and Regulations and Professional Ethics.
Implementation : The implementation of the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice at the hospital will be carried out on September 9, 2024 - November 13, 2024. Number of Effective Hours: Pharmacist Professional Work Practice activities are carried out Monday to Saturday at 08.00-17.00. Based on this schedule, the number of effective hours for students to participate in PKPA is 384 hours.
PKPA Activities : The implementation of the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice in the hospital begins with a briefing conducted at the RSUDZA Education and Training Center. Continued with matriculation given by the Pharmacist at RSUDZA then carrying out activities at various stations, namely pharmaceutical services at each homebase depot, IGD depot, OK depot, HD depot, monitoring drug therapy, providing drug information to patients, educating and monitoring the side effects of chemotherapy patients' drugs.
