    Abstract
The use of online games by students during break times and between class transitions can lead to addiction, potentially affecting the quality and academic performance of students, as reflected in a decline in GPA. This study aims to analyze the relationship between online game usage intensity and academic achievement among nursing students at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The research design is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consists of 214 students, with a sample size of 139 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The results of the Spearman's rho test show no significant relationship between online game usage intensity and students' academic achievement (p=0.295; p>0.05), indicating that online game usage does not correlate with academic performance and the relationship between the two variables is very weak or non-existent. Furthermore, the study found that 84.2% of nursing students had a moderate level of online game usage intensity, and 56.8% achieved academic performance with a GPA classified as "With Distinction." It can be concluded that online game usage is still manageable, provided that students can effectively manage their time, using games as a form of recreation while prioritizing their academic achievements. Additionally, it is expected that academic advisors play an active role in providing guidance and supervision to help students achieve optimal academic performance on campus.
