Archetypes Analysis In The Main Character Of The "Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix" Movie

Abstract

This study is about the main characters in the film The Order of the Phoenix, namely Harry, Hermione and Ron. This study aims to analyze archetypal figures are found in the main characters in "Harry Potter" series and how the main characters in the Harry Potter films fulfill the four main archetypes proposed by Carl Jung theory. This study uses Carl Jung's theory. In completing this study, the method used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the study show that the three main characters highlight different archetype figures during the season of the order of the phoenix based on 12 archetype figures. Harry highlights archetype figures such as Caregiver, Ruler, Lover, Outlow and Jester, and Hermione highlights archetype figures such as Caregiver, Creator, Outlow, Megician, and Sage. While Ron highlights archetype figures such as Caregiver, Creator, Jester, and Magician. The results of the study also show that the three main characters have the same Main archetypes, namely persona, because in the season of The Order of Phoenix, the three characters have a high level of concern for their friends and those closest to them, which highlights the development of each character in the film Harry Potter the Order of Phoenix.
