dc.description.abstractDiabetes mellitus is a client condition characterized by elevated blood sugar levels, and is one of the diseases becoming a global health threat that requires comprehensive nursing intervention. Patient with diabetes can be treated with educational therapy about diabetes management to increase self-efficacy so that the patient's blood sugar levels can be controlled. This study aims to analyze the effect of educational therapy on self-efficacy and control of blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the puskesmas before and after educational therapy at the Health Center. The design of the study was quasi- experimental with 50 respondents, consisting of 25 people in the intervention group who received educational therapy for 60 minutes in 2 meetings and 25 people in the control group who did not get the intervention. The data were collected through client interviews using a questionnaire, and then data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the test results, there was a significant change of p < 0.01 that there was a change in self-efficacy before and after educational therapy. These findings indicate that educational therapy is effective in improving self-efficacy and control of blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus.en_US
