Report On Professional Work Practice of Pharmacists at the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Army Health Center Bandung
Abstract
Professional work practice (PKP) at the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Army Health Center Bandung is one of the professional work practices in the pharmacist professional education program. PKP at the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Army Health Center Bandung was completed on September 6, 2024, until November 13, 2024.
This PKP was carried out in an effort to provide training, skills, and expertise to prospective pharmacists by directly observing the management of medicines and providing services, especially pharmaceutical services. The aim is for prospective pharmacists to understand the issues of pharmaceutical work at the community health center professionally in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards. The activities of PKP conducted at the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Army Health Center Bandung include the utilization of production resources, distribution of medicines, medicinal materials, and phytopharmaceuticals, conducting education and training, and/or research and development. The government requires the entire pharmaceutical industry to implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all aspects of its activities aimed at ensuring that medicines are produced consistently, meet established requirements, and are suitable for their intended use. In addition to Good Manufacturing Practices, there are also procedures for handling complaints about products, product recalls, and product returns.
