dc.description.abstractHydrogen is an alternative energy source that can reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Previous research has shown that mixing hydrogen with fossil fuels can improve vehicle performance and reduce fossil fuel consumption. This study uses the Yamaha Mio Z 125cc with a CVT transmission and an Electronic Fuel Injection system with a (4-stroke) engine to apply the fuel. The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of each variation of the AFR value and determine the appropriate AFR value to be applied from several tested AFR value variations to reduce the lowest specific fuel consumption. Performance testing was conducted using a fuel mixture of 90% pertalite and 10% hydrogen with AFR variations of 14.9:1, 16.6:1, and 15.8:1. This study shows an increase in torque of 12% and power of 15.6% at an AFR value of 15.8:1 with a rotation speed of 7900 RPM, a decrease in specific fuel consumption of 27.25% and an increase in thermal efficiency of 16.66% at an AFR value of 16.6:1 with a rotation speed of 7000 RPM, as well as a reduction in exhaust gas emissions of HC and CO, then increase CO2, and O2 at each AFR value variation.en_US
