Analisis Pendapatan Peternak Sapi Potong Sistem Ekstensif di Penggembalaan Umum Nodi di Kecamatan Laubaleng Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

Local communities in Laubaleng District are very dependent on the agricultural and livestock sectors as their main livelihood, with the abundant environment and natural resources being very profitable for the community to raise livestock. Especially in Mbal-Mbal Petarum Village which has extensive public grazing land. This research aims to determine the income of each breeders in a year. The type of data used in this research is primary data obtained through observation and interviews and secondary data through literature and the Karo Regency Central Bureau of Statistics. The sampling procedure makes use of Purposive Sampling within 54 cattle breeders. The data analysis in the research was carried out by calculating the breeders’ income in one year. The findings of this research show that the average income of cattle breeders in Mbal-Mbal Petarum Village, Laubaleng District, Karo Regency is IDR. 19,187,556/breeder/year. The income can cover production costs so that income is positive or profitable.
