The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia remained high in 2020, reaching 189 per 100,000 live births. Antenatal Care (ANC) is one of the policies implemented to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. ANC is a pregnancy examination aimed at optimizing the physical and mental health of pregnant women to ensure a smooth delivery, postpartum period, and breastfeeding process. Compliance with ANC is a crucial maternal health behavior that helps prevent complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Age, employment status, parity, knowledge, attitude, and husband's support are defined as factors influencing maternal compliance with ANC visits. This study aims to determine the factors influencing maternal compliance with ANC visits in the working area of PB Selayang II Public Health Center, Medan. A comparative descriptive design was used, with a population of 1,843 pregnant women who underwent ANC, and a sample of 95 third-trimester pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the majority of pregnant women (61 participants) complied with ANC visits. Most respondents were within the reproductive age range (20-35 years), unemployed (housewives), had low parity (≤ 2 children), possessed good knowledge, had a positive attitude toward ANC, and received strong support from their husbands. Factors influencing maternal compliance with ANC visits were age (p-value = 0.000), knowledge (p-value = 0.000), attitude (p-value = 0.000), and husband's support (p-value = 0.000). However, employment status (p-value = 0.085) and parity (p-value = 0.071) did not significantly influence compliance. The study suggests the need to strengthen family support, particularly from husbands, and continuous education to raise awareness and improve maternal compliance with ANC visits.en_US
