dc.description.abstractGenitalia hygiene plays a significant role in preventing health problems such as urinary tract infections (UTIs) and reproductive tract infections (RTIs). It is particularly important to address among adolescent, as hormonal changes during this period can affect pH balance and microorganisms in the genital area. This study aims to identify the personal hygiene behavior of the genital area among adolscent girls at Al-Azhar Junior High School, Medan. Using a cross-sectional design, the study involved 70 adolescent girls selected through stratified random sampling. Dadta were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through frequency distribution. The result revealed that personal hygiene bahivor of the genital area among adolscent girls included knowledge categorized as good (88.6), attitudes categorized as positive (94.3%), and practiced categorized as positive (72.9%). The development of health education programs and the provision of adequate sanitation facilities are necessary to improve personal hygiene behavior among adolscent girls.en_US
