    Abstract
    This study is entitled "Media Literacy among Digital Immigrants in Padang Bulan Selayang II Village, Medan City". The purpose of the study was to determine the media literacy skills among digital immigrants in Padang Bulan Selayang II Village, Medan City. The concept used in this study is the concept of media literacy which is divided into four parts, namely using, understanding or analyzing, selecting and producing media content. The research method is qualitative. The data collection technique used was through in-depth interviews and observations. The informants in this study numbered six people. The data analysis technique in this study consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity test carried out in this study was through source triangulation. The source triangulation in this study was a lecturer in the Communication Science Study Program, FISIP USU. The results of the study showed that all informants used social media in their daily lives. Informants have a good understanding of hoax information circulating on social media. Informants think critically about the information they receive, such as questioning its truth, reading the information as a whole, making comparisons, and checking facts. Informants also make choices about media and sources of information. Informants have sufficient ability in producing messages on social media, informants are also careful in spreading or forwarding information on the social media they have.
