Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) results from a progressive, irreversible decline in kidney function, necessitating hemodialysis as a renal replacement therapy. Hemodialysis aims to cleanse the blood, maintain fluid balance, and improve patients' quality of life. The effectiveness of this therapy is measured through blood flow rate (Quick of Blood/QB), Ureum Reduction Ratio (URR), and the KI/V ratio. This study aimed to describe QB, hemodialysis adequacy, and quality of life in CKD patients. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach, with a sample of 82 CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis at two hospitals in North Sumatra. Data were collected through observations of hemodialysis parameters and completion of the Kidney Disease Quality of Life-36 (KDQOL-36) questionnaire. Results showed that 53.7% of patients had normal QB (mean 218.78 ml/min), 73.2% had inadequate Kt/V values (mean 1.59), and 53.7% had inadequate URR values (mean 75.51%). Additionally. 64.4% of patients reported good quality of life. The study highlights the importance of optimizing hemodialysis parameters, such as QB and adequacy monitoring, to enhance the quality of life for CKD patients. A holistic approach to care can support more effective therapy outcomes.en_US
