The primary energy sources in Indonesia, which are derived from fossil fuels, have negative impacts in the form of greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to the increase in the Earth's surface temperature. This study aims to analyze greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from various sources using the Tier 1 method for stationary and fugitive sources and the Tier 2 method for mobile sources at PT. Perta Arun Gas, as well as to formulate effective mitigation strategies. The results indicate that the largest GHG emissions come from stationary sources (power generator stacks) at 644.499 tons of CO2e, followed by mobile sources (transportation) at 71.65561 tons of CO2e, and fugitive sources (flare) at 0.110453865 tons of CO2e. Projections of GHG emissions for the next five years suggest a significant increase in emissions from stationary sources, reaching 6,832.73 tons of CO2e, while fugitive sources remain relatively stable. The total annual GHG emissions from all three sources are estimated at 6,904.496 tons of CO2e, with stationary sources being the primary contributor. To reduce GHG emissions, particularly from stationary sources, the implementation of renewable energy such as solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal energy, as well as energy efficiency optimization, is recommended. These measures are expected not only to lower GHG emissions but also to support the transition toward more environmentally friendly and sustainable operations, in line with national emission reduction targets.
