The increasing use of smartphones among students can impact various aspects of life, including academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the relationship between smartphone usage intensity and academic achievement among nursing students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 500 students, with a sample of 222 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire measuring daily smartphone usage intensity and academic achievement based on the Grade Point Average (GPA). Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results revealed a relationship between smartphone usage intensity and academic achievement, with a p-value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.342. This indicates a weak positive correlation, meaning that higher smartphone usage intensity is associated with better academic performance. The study concludes that controlled smartphone use can positively impact students' academic performance. Educators are encouraged to enhance the utilization of counseling services to help students manage their smartphone usage wisely and prioritize activities that support their academic success.en_US
