    Abstract
Clean and Healthy Living behavior (PHBS) is an important step for individuals in preventing various health problems, especially in vulnerable environments such as orphanages. Children in orphanages often face challenges in implementing clean and healthy living behaviors due to limited knowledge, facilities, and guidance. This condition has the potential to increase the risk of various health problems that can affect quality of life. This research aims to determine whether there is a correlation between clean and healthy living behavior and health problems experienced by children in Putra Muhammadiyah orphanage, Medan. Quantitative research design is used in this research with cross sectional study approach and the sampling technique used is total sampling, involving 46 respondents. Questionnaire are used as instrument and data obtained are analysed using the Spearman's Rho test. The results indicate that the majority of respondents, 31 individuals (67.4%), have a clean and healthy lifestyle, falling within the sufficient category, Meanwhile, the majority of respondents who experience health problems are 40 individuals (87%). The results of statistical tests using the Spearman's Rho test indicate the p-value = 0.000 < (0.05) which means there is a significant correlation between clean and healthy living behavior and health problems. Coefficient value (R) is -0.537, indicating a strong negative correlation. The research concludes that there is a negative correlation between clean and healthy living behavior and health problems experienced by children in Putra Muhammadiyah orphanage Medan, indicating that the better the clean and healthy living behavior, the less likely individuals are to experience health problems.
