Abstract
Hypertension is a serious and life-threatening non-communicable disease (NCD). This study aims io analyze the factors influencing hypertension in the community at the working area of Sei Bamban Public Health Center. Subjects were selected from a population of hypertensive patients by measuring their blood pressure and then observing them using a questionnaire to collect data. The sampling technique used probability-based simple random sampling, with a total of 203 respondents. The research was conducted at the Sei Bamban Public Health Center. Data analysis was performed using univariate and multivariate analysis with the SMART-PLS application. The results of the analysis revealed that factors influencing hypertension in the community include comorbid diseases (P-Value = 0.028), smoking habits P-Value = 0.035), obesity (P-Value = 0.021), stress (P. Value = 0.040), education (P-Value = 0.026), and income (P-Value = 0.020). Factors that do not influence hypertension include age (P-Value = 0.124), gender (P-Value = 0.436), family history (P-Value = 0.435), and coffee consumption (P Value = 0.341). This study conftirms that several factors infuence kypertension in the community within the working area of Sei Bamban Public Health Center. Future researchers are encouraged to explore other potential factors that have not been studied and provide efective interventions tailored to the sample's background to reduce hypertension prevalence.
