dc.description.abstract | Along with the times, infrastructure development in Medan City continues to progress. One of the strategic projects currently underway is the construction of an underpass on Jalan H.M. Yamin - Simpang Jalan Jawa, Medan Timur District. This infrastructure development aims to optimize the smooth flow of traffic and reduce the level of congestion that often occurs in the area. The stability of the underpass construction is highly dependent on the quality of the retaining wall planning, which plays a crucial role in withstanding lateral soil pressure and preventing landslides. In selecting the type of retaining wall for the H.M Yamin Underpass project, the shoring type was chosen, namely the secant pile. In planning the Secant Pile as a lateral soil retaining shoring, it is very important to ensure the strength of the structure to receive lateral soil pressure. Therefore, analysis of bending moments, shear, deflection is very necessary so that the Secant Pile reinforcement to be used can be calculated. The method used in the analysis is the analytical method and MIDAS GTS NX 2023 software, with SNI 2847: 2019 as a guideline in selecting reinforcement. The analytical calculation results show a maximum bending moment of 980.73 kN.m, a maximum shear of 352.44 kN, and a maximum deflection of 0.447 cm, which is not much different from the results of the MIDAS GTS NX analysis, which are 972.312 kN.m, 233.4 kN, and 1.00 cm. From this analysis, the number of main reinforcements is 12D-25 and transverse reinforcements D13-150, while in the field 22 main reinforcements are used with 8 reinforcements along the secant pile and D10-150 for transverse reinforcement. This difference indicates an increase in the number and diameter of the main and transverse reinforcements. | en_US |
