Background. Dyslipidemia is one of the conditions or diseases that continues to increase in number. Complications from dyslipidemia are also diverse, one of which is eye disorders. Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) is one of the conditions caused by dyslipidemia. Increased lipid levels that ultimately affect the viscosity of the meibomian gland secretion fluid, causing disorders in the form of obstruction in the fluid secretion ducts in the meibomian glands. However, many things may cause MGD, so it is hoped that further research can identify other factors that may be the most prominent causes of meibomian gland dysfunction, especially in factory workers who have many risk factors such as factory workers who were respondents in this study. Subjects and Methods. This study used a cross-sectional design and used an observation method in the data collection process, namely in the form of assessing cholesterol levels and examining the meibomian glands in the eyes using a slit lamp. The research subjects were selected by total sampling, which means that all factory employees became respondents in this study. The dependent variable in this study was MGD or meibomian gland dysfunction with the independent variable being total cholesterol levels. Results. With 40 respondents, the results of this study indicate a significant correlation between the dependent variable and the independent variable (P = <,001). Dyslipidemia that affects the occurrence of meibomian gland dysfunction in research respondents. Conclusion. It can be concluded that dyslipidemia is one of the factors causing MGD. This finding highlights the importance of identifying and properly intervening on other factors that may cause MGD.en_US
