Abstract
This study analyzes the technical efficiency of manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2022 using the Parametric Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) method. As Indonesia's manufacturing sector plays a crucial role in the country's economic growth, understanding the efficiency of its firms is essential for both academic research and practical decision-making. This research focuses on the impact of key input variables, such as inventory, fixed assets, capital, and labor, on the firms' technical efficiency. It also examines the influence of firm-specific characteristics, such as manufacturing classification and firm size, on inefficiency levels. The study employs data from 67 manufacturing firms, utilizing secondary data sourced from publicly available financial statements. The results indicate that certain variables, including fixed assets and capital, have a significant positive impact on technical efficiency, while labor and inventory show mixed effects. The findings contribute to the literature on industrial efficiency by providing insights into the specific factors that influence the performance of manufacturing firms in Indonesia. The research's implications are significant for policymakers and business managers aiming to improve productivity and foster sustainable growth within the sector
