Status Mutu Sungai dengan Metode SingScore di Daerah Aliran Sungai Percut Provinsi Sumatera Utara
River Quality Status with SingScore Method in Percut River Basin, North Sumatra Province
Abstract
The Percut River Basin is a River Basin located in Medan, North Sumatra which
flows from the upstream area, namely Sibolangit District in Karo Regency, crossing
Medan City and heading to the downstream area in Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli
Serdang Regency. This study aims to determine the structure of the
macroinvertebrate community in the Percut River Basin, to determine the spatial
distribution of macroinvertebrates in the Percut River Basin, to determine the
quality of waters with the SingScore method in the Percut River Basin. The method
used in determining the research station is Purposive Sampling, namely Sampling
is carried out at 21 stations, namely the upstream, middle and downstream parts.
Sampling is carried out once at each station. Sampling was carried out at 2 points
at each station, namely on the edge and middle of the river body. The results of the
study obtained the structure of the macroinvertebrate community along the Percut
River Basin found 41 species and 30 families. The spatial distribution of
macroinvertebrates found in the Percut River Basin in the upstream section is 23
families with 31 macroinvertebrate species. The water quality status in the Percut
River flow based on the SingScore method in the upstream section has a very good
category and the middle to downstream parts of the Percut River have a bad
category.
