dc.description.abstractThis research aims to determine the influence of leadership style on the performance of elementary school teachers in Medan City and to determine the role of work motivation as a moderating variable in the relationship between leadership style and elementary school teacher performance in Medan City. The research method used in this research is quantitative causality with probability and accidental sampling methods. The sample in this study amounted to 375 subjects. Data collection uses a Likert scale, namely a scale of democratic leadership style, teacher performance and work motivation. The data analysis method uses simple linear regression statistical analysis method and also moderated regression analysis. The results obtained in this study are that the democratic leadership style variable is able to influence teacher performance significantly and positively by Sig. 0.00 <0.05 and t count (29.723)> t table (1.64895). The results of the moderated regression analysis obtained a value of Sig. 0.00 <0.05 so that Motivation is able to moderate the influence of Democratic Leadership Style on Performanceen_US
