dc.description.abstractThis study is a quantitative descriptive study aims to see the mental health conditions of adolescents in peri-urban areas. This study involved 240 adolescent respondents selected using incidental non-probability sampling techniques. This study used an adolescent mental health screening questionnaire, the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) developed by Goodman (1997). This questionnaire measures the mental health conditions of adolescents based on the subscales of Emotional Symptoms, Conduct Problems, Hyperactivity/Inattention, Peer Relationship Problems, And Prosocial Behavior. The results of this study indicate that the majority of respondents have a very low to moderate risk of mental health. The results showed that there were 181 respondents (75%) who had a Strength score that in the category Closed to Average and there were 94 respondents (39%) who had a Difficulty score that in the category Close to Average.en_US
