Pola Kerukunan Umat Beragama di kota Pematang Siantar pada Pemilihan Umum Presiden Tahun 2024 Studi Kasus : Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) di Kota Pematang Siantar

Abstract

Harmony is a value that can be found in every religious teaching. As we know, Indonesia is a country that is very rich in culture. Because of the many tribes and cultures, there are also many types of religions practiced by the Indonesian people, especially the people in the city of Pematang Siantar. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of FKUB in the 2024 presidential election on the pattern of religious harmony in the city of Pematang Siantar. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The results of this study are that the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) of the City of Pematang Siantar is present as a forum for deliberation in order to maintain the stability of a conducive society, especially between religious communities. Mr. Drs. H. M. Ali Lubis explained that the role of the FKUB of the City of Pematang Siantar in the 2024 Presidential Election was in overcoming religious identity politics. Therefore, in the 2024 Presidential Election contest, the FKUB of the City of Pematang Siantar must play a role in supervising and preventing religious identity politics.
