This study aims to determine the effect of giving organic liquid fertilizer on the growth and production of two varieties of shallots. This research was conducted on the land of the Tuber Study Center, Faculty of Agriculture, USU, Medan, North Sumatra with an altitude of ± 32 meters above sea level in October to December 2024. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factors with 3 replications. Factor I: Shallots Variety (V) with 2 types of Shallots, namely Batu Ijo variety and Bima Brebes variety, Factor II: liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier flies with 4 levels, namely: Without liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier flies (Control); 20 ml/poly bag of liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier flies; 40 ml/poly bag of liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier Flies; 60 ml/poly bag of liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier flies. There were 8 treatment combinations with three replications which resulted in 96 samples. The parameters measured were: plant height, number of leaves, tuber diameter, number of tubers, tuber fresh weight, and crown fresh weight. In the treatment of two varieties of red root crops, there is a significant effect on the observed parameters of the number of tubers. The application of liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier flies has a significant effect on the observed variables of plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers, fresh weight of tubers, crown fresh weight, dry weight of tubers. There is no interaction between the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from black soldier flies and the production of two varieties of Shallots plants.en_US
