dc.description.abstractBackground: Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide with an estimated 660,000 new cases in 2022. Cervical cancer also impacts the mental well-being of patients, with high rates of mental disorders such as depression that can affect quality of life. Previous studies have shown that anemia is correlated with depressive syndrome, quality of life in cervical cancer patients. This study aims to examine the relationship between anemia and quality of life and depressive syndrome in advanced cervical cancer patients RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. Methods: This study is a correlative analytical study with a cross-sectional study approach. The sampling technique in this study used a non-probability sampling type consecutive sampling technique with a sample size of 59 cervical cancer patients at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. The study used EORTC QLQ C30 to measure quality of life, PHQ-9 to measure symptoms of depression. Results: The age variable in respondents has a mean±standard deviation (51.07±8.93). The majority of respondents work (88.4%) and have a secondary education from junior high school to high school (89.9%). The most common anemia is moderate anemia (54.2%), the most common EORTC QLQ C30 is moderate (64.4%). The most common depressive syndrome is moderate depression (42.4%). The most common degree of pain is moderate (64.4%). There is a moderate negative relationship between anemia and quality of life in cervical cancer patients. There is a moderate positive relationship between anemia and depressive syndrome in cervical cancer patients. There is a moderate negative relationship between quality of life and depressive syndrome in cervical cancer patients. Conclusion: This study shows a significant relationship between anemia and quality of life in cervical cancer patients. There is a significant relationship between anemia and depressive syndrome in cervical cancer patients. There is a significant relationship between quality of life and depressive syndrome in cervical cancer patients. The implications of these findings can be used to develop more effective treatment strategies in the management of depressive syndrome, quality of life in cervical cancer patients.en_US
