Pharmacist Professional Practice (PKPA) at the National Agency of Drug and Food
Control of the Republic of Indonesia (BPOM RI) aims to enhance prospective
pharmacists’ understanding of the roles and functions of pharmacists within government
institutions, particularly in the Directorate of Traditional Medicine, Health Supplements,
and Cosmetics Registration (OTSKK). This program provides a real-world overview of
the product registration process, pre-market supervision, and the dynamics of
pharmaceutical work in the regulatory field.
During the program, prospective pharmacists are involved in document evaluation,
studying relevant regulations, and participating in discussions and technical activity
observations. This experience broadens participants' insights and skills in understanding
BPOM's strategic role in safeguarding public health.
PKPA also serves as preparation for entering the professional workforce by instilling
practical knowledge, professional attitudes, and a solid understanding of the challenges
and responsibilities of pharmacists in the government sector.
